Metalube Ltd will introduce some of its latest innovations in lubrication technology, including their complete range of nonferrous wire drawing lubricants, from its stand G112 at Wire India from 27th – 29th November 2018. In addition to their newest range of Lubricool 250B and Alumol 615W, Metalube will showcase their full range of lubrication systems, developed to deliver optimum performance and cost benefits.
The Metalube range of specially formulated wire drawing lubricants has been developed to address the growing demand for increased efficiency and reduced running costs in high performance machinery. Choosing the correct lubricant can improve efficiency and ensure compliance with changing environmental regulations, which is why Metalube has a dedicated research and development team that is constantly updating and creating new products for an evolving industry.
Although traditional lubrication techniques in many instances continue to meet the challenges of the industry sector, Metalube, having identified processes where further innovation is required. From the show the company will introduce new products that further improve and compliment the wire drawing process in two very demanding areas. These are:
Lubricool 250B - a full synthetic wire drawing lubricant for the drawing of copper and plated copper wires on high speed multi-wire drawing machines. The oil free chemistry utilised to formulate Lubricool 250B delivers the maximum levels of cleanliness and lubrication required to meet the stringent demands of multiwire machines, drawing down to 0.050mm. Drawing cones and dies remain free from debris to reduce wire break frequency. This helps to achieve maximum line speeds, ease of filtration and biostability making Lubricool 250B an ideal choice for this most critical of applications where machine optimisation is essential.
Alumol 615W – a water miscible aluminium wire drawing lubricant for rod, intermediate and multiwire machines. To address the weaknesses of traditional neat oil technology used for the drawing of aluminium wires on high speed slip machines, Alumol 615W is offered as a water miscible alternative. Delivering significant improvements in machine cleanliness and operator acceptability, along with ease of filtration and cleanliness of the drawn wire, this technology is particularly suited to producers of automotive wire and the enamelled wire producers.
Albert Molloy, Global Product Manager says: “Wire India provides a great platform for Metalube to showcase both the resources available in the region and the latest innovations in lubrication technology available, we look forward to welcoming visitors to our stand G112”
Amit Gupte, General Manager, Metaluble India will also be at the show adds: “These new products are a great addition to our portfolio. From our stand we will also be highlighting some of our Metaform range that uses the latest oil/solvent-based and water-extendable technology to provide a comprehensive range of lubricants for almost every cold and warm forming process. We are also pleased to introduce COPASLIP, made by our sister company Molyslip. COPASLIP is a high-performance compound specifically formulated to protect fasteners from seizure induced by extremes of temperature, pressure and corrosion.”
