Metalube Ltd is a privately owned, rapidly growing, speciality industrial lubricant manufacturer with operations in the UK, Brazil, China, India and UAE. We have an opportunity for an intelligent and technical professional to join our commercial team based at our UK headquarters in Irlam. This role would suit a Chemical or Mechanical Engineer with commercial experience looking to take on a more international role or a technical person working in a laboratory looking to develop their career in a commercial role. Due to the international element of this role, fluency in a second language, ideally French or Spanish would be considered a major advantage.

In this role, you will be an integral member of the commercial team which supports the company’s business growth nationwide and internationally to the engineering industry.

As well as growing the range of products to an existing client base the role involves identifying potential new clients, developing customer relationships, understanding customer needs and translating these into solutions. You need to be capable of getting involved in detailed technical discussions.

We are willing to consider candidates with relevant technical sales experience or a chemist /mechanical engineer keen to develop a commercial career with a fast-growing business. Applicants must be able to travel both within the UK and overseas. Maximum time away would be 14 nights consecutively.

Applicants should have:

  • A good academic background, ideally a graduate in engineering or technical subject.
  • Solid B2B sales and relationship building skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management.
